I was most impressed by Dr Evered's approach: he spent time really listening to my story, picking up on seemingly minor problems, probing for further information and coming to very pertinent conclusions [which included a sensible plan for ongoing treatment]. All was clearly explained; making sure I understood.
And this was at the end of a long day - as I was just about his final patient in a very full and busy clinic.
So, well done Dr Evered, and the reception staff were also an excellent part of the team.
I was referred to the TIA Clinic at Leicester Royal Infirmary by my GP as she was anxious to obtain a clear diagnosis of my condition.
On arriving at the Clinic I was made most welcome by the friendly nurses and was directed to various points for tests. At the conclusion of these tests, Dr Eveson made me aware of the reassuring results and, as we spoke, in a very relaxed situation, I actually experienced facial spasms. Dr Eveson immediately diagnosed, with a friendly smile, "facial nerve number seven", and fully explained my condition, stressing it was nothing to be concerned about. I shall be taking all the doctor's advice and am pleased to take this opportunity to further express my thanks to him and all the staff at the TIA Clinic at LRI.
I was very impressed with the care I received today from Dr. Evesen. He had a student with him who interviewed me first, then he took over. He could not have been better, he explained everything clearly, and certainly listened to my queries. I came away thinking that the NHS certainly looks after you when needed, I could not have had better service if I had been a private patient. His team also were great.
Thank you, Ann Roberts.

I saw Dr Eveson at the TIA clinic on sunday 21/08/2016 and a more friendly and compassionate doctor I could not have wished for. He was patient and very understanding when discussing, with me, all that had happened to me over the previous two days. He explained everything in a way that I had a full picture of what had happened to me in a very calm and precise manner. When I left the clinic I had a full picture of what happened with the knowledge that I was still in good health.
May I also say that the nurses on reception, and those who carried out all the tests at the clinic were most cheerful and helpful and there guidance was most helpful.
I was referred to Leicester Royal with a suspected TIA. The service by all the staff at the clinic was excellent and culminated in a very factual and down to earth review by Dr Eveson. He reassured me about my condition and made clear all my options for the future. An excellent experience all round.
